SOCIAL MEDIA
The main platform for promoting this campaign was Social Media, where the gym had the largest following. Fortunately, the gym’s existing brand identity utilized a combination of elements that honored solid design principles allowing for a natural and flexible application of the elements to a digital form. The foundation of the design is the harmony, created by using a variety of gritty textures and layering to impose a shallow sense of depth that would be visually comparable to collage pieces. With supplied imagery and a halftone photoshop plugin, the look was easily cascaded across a variety of posts. Additionally a typographic system that was developed using systematic contrast by manipulating form, scale, depth, and colour resulted in a design that made the call to action evident and intriguing.
POSTER DESIGN
Isolating the elements of a brand’s visual identity means that a change in format or medium is very objective and simple to navigate. The increased space of the poster format allowed for more specific information to be added which would be applicable when advertised inside the gym. By mimicking the composition of the social media posts the poster maintains a consistent visual identity while incorporating the new information in a way that feels familiar and natural.
The addition of a QR code made looking into the promotion easy for gym goers who typically have their phones with them while they work out.
