The operations of the Colour Research Society of Canada (CRSC) is led by a board of reputable experts in a variety of fields. The goal of the following social media campaign was to showcase a variety of disciplines that the organization is concerned with by introducing each of the members in a visually compelling manner.
"COLOUR"
“What does colour mean to you?”. This was the question that was posed to the members of the board and ultimately what fuelled the content strategy for the campaign. The responses were not only inspirational but offered unique and genuine copy which could easily be featured and presented using the design system.
HALFTONE EFFECT
Without formal portraits of the members another barrier was the inconsistency in the members’ professional photos. From downsampled profile pictures, to inconvenient cropping, the limitations made it difficult to present the photos in their provided format. By utilizing a halftone photoshop filter to develop a consistent visual treatment the photos fit into a thematic series which aligned with the broader brand elements consisting of circular forms and flat colours.
